If you have never waxed before or are not sure you have been doing it correctly follow these steps and you will be an expert in no time at all. Different types of waxes (warm, cold, microwaveable, washable) require slightly different techniques of product preparation and usage.
Just like most beauty regimens self-waxing gets easier with practice and patience.
The following are general directions on using Nair Easiwax® Liquid Wax tub . The directions refer to waxing your lower leg however can be applied to all areas of the body and face.
Be sure to follow the complete directions and warnings provided in the package.
1. Remove both lid and seal before placing the tub of wax into the microwave off centre. You can throw away the film after your first use. Microwave on HIGH as directed. Melt the entire contents and stir in order to achieve a smooth consistency. The consistency of the wax should resemble honey.
Please note that microwaves vary and the time should be used as a guide only. Heating times should be reduced according to the amount of wax left in the tub.
These are not instructions for Salon Divine Body wax.

2. With the spatula provided, mix the wax for uniformity, then spread a thin, 5cm wide layer of wax across your skin. The wax should be spread in the direction that your hair naturally rests on your skin. For example, if the hair on your leg tends to grow downward, then spread the wax downward. Don't spread in a circular fashion. Only apply enough wax for one strip at a time. (Always carry out a patch test before each use on a small part of the area to be waxed 24 hours before use to ensure no skin irritation occurs).
3. Take a cloth strip provided in the wax kit and press the strip firmly over the wax.
4. While holding the skin TAUT with one hand grab the cloth strip at the bottom and QUICKLY pull the cloth strip off your leg. Pull the strip off in the direction opposite how you spread the warm wax on. Don't pull the strip outwards or upwards. The quicker you pull the easier and more effective it is.
5. Take a look at your leg and the wax strip. You should be able to see hairs on the wax that were pulled out by the root.
6. Continue steps #2 through #4 until you've removed all unwanted hair. Microwave the wax again if it becomes so thick that you can't spread a thin layer on your skin. Never overheat wax.
