Depilatory creams work by dissolving the hair just below the surface of the skin whereas shaving cuts the hair off at the surface of the skin. Hairs are rounded off with creams rather than sliced off when you shave so you are not left with unattractive prickly stubble. Nair® creams help moisturise and exfoliate at the same time leaving your skin even softer and silkier.
Not to scale.
The following are general "how-to" directions for using Nair Cream Hair Remover with moisturising baby oil on your lower leg. The same general instructions can be applied to other areas of the body.
Please make sure you follow the complete directions and warnings on the package.
1 .Before each use do a test on a small part of the area where hair is to be removed to make sure your skin does not become irritated or your skin doesn't have a reaction to the ingredients. You want a thick smooth layer. Follow package directions and wait 24 hours. If your skin is normal proceed.
2. Squeeze the cream in your hand or use spatula provided and gently apply a thick layer of cream over the areas on your leg from which you you wish to remove hair. Do not rub the cream in. Wash your hands after application. Follow individual product guidelines on length of time to leave cream on.
3. Test a small area by wiping gently with a damp washcloth. Do not rub. If the hair in that area comes off easily, you can go ahead and remove the rest of the cream on your leg with the washcloth.
4. If the hair doesn't come off easily, wait a few more minutes (see individual instructions for maximum time) and try again using the washcloth. You should rinse the rest of the cream off.
